I’m Brandon Cagle, the sole Owner, Artist, & Craftsman behind B.C. Natureware! A Handmade Pottery business, located between Harrisonburg and Jonesville Louisiana.
I graduated from NSULA with a BFA and MA. (Bachelor’s of Fine Arts)(Masters of Arts)
During my time as a Graduate Student/Assistant I received hands on experience teaching students ages 8-85, knowledge of proper maintenance of a ceramic studio, and the necessary knowledge involved with the creation and manipulation of Base glazes and color applications and combinations.
Since graduating I’ve been tutoring, doing pottery demonstrations, and continuing to make loads of pottery to sell at vendor Markets and Events all over mid and upper Louisiana areas.
With a Master’s of Arts Degree I can legally teach up-to the level of a college Adjunct Professor.
Goals
I aspire to open a full scale pottery studio for 4-6 person classes, student worker courses, and reserved family/group classes of 2-6. While still doing some of my larger Markets and Events each year.
With flood elevation mound requirements and the ever increasing cost of building materials, my Goals may be a ways off, but each and every Kilnshare renter, tutored student, and customer to my pottery business helps me get ever closer!
(this is a floor plan mockup of my future studio, this is a basic top/down view)
This is a very dream studio esque design with pocket doors, ramp and spacing for wheel chair accessibility, a raised loading dock for palettes of clay, solar tube lighting in conjunction with electric lights, a small greenhouse area attached, separate rooms for making pottery, pottery storage, kilns, and of course even a restroom!
Offering 1-2 person tutoring on the Pottery Wheel. Prices vary, to find out more please click the “Services” button above and scroll down to the Tutoring section.
Active students will have any works they want to keep fired in my kiln free of charge.
